Clear Pathways Coaching Newsletter 6/9/07

Dear Friends: Welcome to our monthly newsletter. We offer
some information, some inspiration and some features to
keep you smiling.

A few facts about the month of June: No other month begins
on the same day of the week as June. June’s flower is the
rose or honeysuckle. June in the northern hemisphere is the
December of the southern hemisphere and vice versa. There
are numerous events and celebrations in June. Let us make
note of one in particular. Happy Father’s Day to all the
Dads out there.

Warmly, Lillian

QUOTE OF THE MONTH: What worries you, masters you. –
Charles Schulz

CONSIDER THIS: We tend to worry about that which has not
yet happened and may never happen. Worry has no influence
or affect on outcomes. It only puts us into a state of
stress. We are best served to focus on those things within
our control and let go of the rest.

ARTICLE: We all need a tree...

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and
after he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a
flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill
quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start.

While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On
arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked
toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree,
touching the tips of the branches with both hands.

When opening the door he underwent an amazing
transformation. His face was wreathed in smiles and he
hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.
Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and
my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what
I had seen him do earlier.
"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't
help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure,
those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and
the children... So I just hang them up on the tree every
night when I come home and ask God to take care of them.
Then in the morning I pick them up again. Funny thing is,"
he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick'em up,
there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the
night before."

GOOD HUMOR/GOOD HEALTH:

A few words from the visionary Steven Wright:
Change is inevitable except from vending machines.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend, but she left me before
we met.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some people just don’t
have film.
Shin – a device for finding furniture in the dark.
Experience is something you don’t get until just after you
need it.

Someone sent me a postcard with a picture of the earth. On
the back it said, “Wish you were here.”
