Clear Pathways Coaching Newsletter, 5/9/07
Dear Friends: Welcome to our monthly newsletter. We offer some information, some inspiration and some features to keep you smiling. It’s garden time for many of us. The ground is prepared; seeds selected and planted. Much effort is put into weeding, watering and nurturing new growth. It’s also a good time to spend on our inner growth – weeding out the negative qualities and habits, while nurturing our gifts, strengths and important relationships. Warmly, Lillian To read this newsletter on-line go to: http://www.clearpathwayscoaching.com Contents: Quote of the month Consider this Article Good humor/good health QUOTE OF THE MONTH: Most people struggle with life balance simply because they haven't paid the price to decide what is really important to them. - Stephen Covey CONSIDER THIS: What is important in your life? Have you made this a priority among all that life asks of you? What has been the consequence of your choices? ARTICLE: Things We Can Learn from a Dog Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. When it's in your best interest, practice obedience. Let others know when they've invaded your territory. Take naps and stretch before rising. Run, romp and play daily. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body. No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...run right back and make friends. Delight in the simple joys of a long walk. – Healthy Wealthy Wise Chronicles, March 7, 2007 GOOD HUMOR/GOOD HEALTH The Water Pistol: When my three-year-old son opened the birthday gift from his grandmother, he discovered a water pistol… He squealed with delight and headed for the nearest sink. I was not so pleased. I turned to mom and said, “I’m surprised at you. Don’t you remember how we used to drive you crazy with water guns?” Mom smiled and then replied….“I remember.” Remember: he who laughs, lasts.
