Cheshire Cat: “Where do you want to go?"
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then, said the cat, it doesn't matter. If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
But, it does matter. Where, which way, how to, all matter.
When my clients have completed coaching with me, they know where they are going and which road to take. They will be equipped for their journeys with well-designed maps and a personal GPS.
I use a solution focused approach including strategies from Positive Psychology and Appreciative Inquiry with infusions of humor.
A solution focused approach is about shifting your attention to what is already in place instead of concentrating on what is missing or avoiding obstacles.

Focusing on solutions helps clients:

spot and use resources around them

define and take small steps with the best chance of success

focus on directing attention towards those moments, actions that already work

identify what makes these moments work, and do more of the same

explore how they want their lives to be different, how to notice next steps towards their goal
